NANS PRESIDENT LAUDS NEKEDE POLYTECHNIC’S RECTOR - "She can match any in the developed country"

 The president of the National Association of the Nigerian Students (NANS), Comrade Tijani Usman Shehu has lauded the innovative leadership drive of Dr. (Mrs.) Cele Njoku, the rector of the Federal Polytechnic Nekede Owerri. According to Comrade Tijani Dr. (Mrs.) Njoku is a rector that can match any in the developed countries. Tijani said this during a facility tour to the polytechnic by a delegation of the National Association of the Nigerian Students (NANS) to the school as they did in Michael Okpara University. 


He was very much impressed and proud of the work in the institution. The NANS President praised the high level of infrastructural development and level of skill acquisition going on in the institution and attributed it to efficient management on the part of the leadership. 

Dr Mrs. Njoku while receiving the NANS delegation noted that the management of the institution would continue to uplift the welfare and wellbeing of the student as a deliberate effort to make them become very useful citizens of the country. She said that the polytechnic attached utmost importance to the academic excellence and protection of the students in order to produce quality graduates who would meet the man power needs of the nation to enhance technological development. 

While commending the leadership of NANS for its measures aimed at giving the Nigerian Students a sense of belonging in the scheme of things, the rector advised the students to shun all act which were inimical to their progress as individuals. 

Dr Njoku said that the management of the polytechnic enjoyed cordial relationship with its students union Government. She also commended the SUG of the federal polytechnic, Nekede for donating 750 Classroom Desks to further enhance academic learning in the polytechnic. She assured NANS that the management of the polytechnic would continue to give top priority to excellent student –management relationship. 

The NANS president assured that under his leadership, Nigerian students will not witness violence nor crisis, stating that dialogue would be used to resolve issues.
